Estrada de Terra - Brazil COCARIVE
Estrada de Terra is an exclusive origin-level blend born from our team's visit to the COCARIVE Cooperative in Mantiqueira de Minas, Brazil. For over 50 years, these rural producers have cultivated award-winning specialty coffee while maintaining deep commitments to their community and environment. We developed this special preparation on-site with cooperative members, blending natural and washed process coffees from Caturra, Catuai, Acaia, and Mundo Novo varietals grown between 800 and 1,300 meters above sea level.
Tasting Notes
This is classic Brazilian coffee at its finest: a full-bodied cup with deep chocolate flavors anchored by mild hazelnut tones and a pleasantly sweet finish. The light-medium roast preserves the inherent sweetness of the natural process coffees while the washed lots contribute clarity and balance. Expect a clean acidity that doesn't compete with the chocolate-forward profile, and a velvety body that lingers comfortably on the palate. The finish is smooth and sweet, inviting another sip.
Brew Methods
Estrada de Terra excels across brew methods. As espresso, it delivers syrupy body and sweet chocolate notes that shine in milk drinks or straight shots. Pour over methods like V60 or Chemex highlight the coffee's clarity and hazelnut nuances, while French press amplifies the full body and rich chocolate character. Cold brew brings out exceptional sweetness and smoothness. This versatile roast adapts beautifully to your preferred morning ritual.
