Fellow Espresso Series 1 Espresso Machine
What is it?
The Fellow Espresso Series 1 is Fellow's first espresso machine, and it sure is a statement piece. Built around a patented Boosted Boiler architecture with three independent heating elements (boiler, flow-through heater, and group head heater), it achieves excellent thermal stability and near-instant transitions between brewing and steaming. The commercial-style 58mm group head with brass core and water dispersion block ensures consistent extractions. An intelligent pressure control system automatically adjusts flow to hit your pressure and time targets, accounting for real-world variance in dose, grind, and tamping.
Who is it for?
The Series 1 is built for the home barista who wants serious capability without serious complexity. If you're new to espresso, the on-screen prompts and roast-matched profiles make great shots approachable from day one. If you're experienced, the full-color LCD, navigation dial, and companion app give you granular control over pressure, temperature, and flow during pre-infusion, infusion, and ramp-down. This is the machine for you if you want:
- Customizable shot profiles
- Fast heat-up (under 2 minutes)
- Auto-sensing steam wand with auto-purge
- Dynamic Wi-Fi profile sharing via the Fellow app
- A machine to learn and grow with
Why do we carry it?
Fellow has spent more than a decade making some of our favorite gear: the Stagg kettle, the Ode grinder, and the Aiden brewer, to name a few. The Series 1 is the machine that brings all of that design-forward, performance-driven thinking into espresso for the first time. At $1,499, it's packed with convenient features like pressure control, full-profile customization, and a temperature-sensing steam wand, features you'd expect to pay twice as much for. It's the most capable machine at this price point that we've seen, and we're very much into it.Ā
